Why Choose us
Our courses are built around our practical experience handling & working with hazardous substances & our experience as technical safety experts working with leading organisations risk assessing, auditing & advising daily on hazardous substances compliance & safe use. This means our courses are based on current legal compliance & up-to-date industry best practice. Remember your company training must be delivered by a person who meets the legal definition of “competent” in the area they are providing the training.
How we are Different
We don’t provide generic training courses. Instead we ask you what hazardous substances & materials your employees are exposed to & tailor the training to suit. Our courses include practical elements & group exercises to encourage learning based on real-life exposure scenarios & evidence based learning including typical findings from safety audits, case studies of accidents & accident investigation findings. We provide attendees with the tools to identify & manage hazards in their own workplace.
Why is this Training Important
Employers have a legal obligation under health & safety legislation to provide training which is relevant to the tasks being undertaken & the hazards to which employees may be exposed to at the place of work. Significant health issues associated with hazardous substances are encountered on a daily basis in many work environments & personnel require comprehensive information & training in identifying & preventing exposure. The health impacts of hazardous substances exposures may not be immediately apparent especially where chronic exposures to an uncontrolled substance are taking place over an extended period of time such as occupational carcinogens or sanitising agents.
